Monthly Golf Tips by the Mel Sole Golf School.

Primarily aimed at younger golfers.  This month's Mel In Motion video golf tip dissects lower back arch and spine alignment to reinforce the need to keep a straight back for a lifetime of back pain-free golf.

Older Golfers.

As we get older, our spine flexibility declines and in the golf swing with such violent twisting and untwisting, which puts a lot of strain on the lower back. Understanding how to relieve that pressure will go a long way to eliminating back pain and extending your golf enjoyment for years to come.  Flexibility exercises will certainly help as well.  Make sure you go through a stretching routine before each round of golf.  Watching Miguel Angel Jimenez is a prime example of how to warm up before a round of golf.

Younger Golfers.

If you are younger and have a flexible back, there is the danger of allowing too much bend or arch in the lower back.  As you get older, those arching motions catch up with you, and you find you are visiting the Chiropractor more and more often. Be aware of this arching and check out this video on how to not arch.  You'll be glad you did.
