Golf Video Blog by the Mel Sole Golf School.

In our Golf Video Blog series, we discuss putting techniques.  How to use an inexpensive teaching aid called a wrist TacTic.  This helps with the breakdown of the lead wrist through impact.  You will also see that using an alignment stick adds to the learning process!

By wearing the Tac Tic Training aid, work on moving the putter's handle at the same speed and the putter head.  Using an alignment stick stuck in the ground about 1 foot in front of the putter, attempt to make a stroke and allow the hands to hit the alignment stick each time.  This confirms the hands and putter heads are moving through impact together. Another drill I do at home that I did not show in this video is practicing with an alignment stick down the shaft and up well past the handle.  I have found that this helps my putting more than any other drill I've ever done.

If I have a round of golf planned that day, I do at least 10 minutes of putting stroke rehearsals with the alignment stick.  It gives me a great feel for a good putting stroke!

The Wrist Tac Tic is available on my website.  Go here to purchase.
