In our Golf Video Blog series, this first Friday of 2017, Mel Sole of the Mel Sole Golf School talks about a simple set of stretches that every golfer can do either before they tee off better still, each day.
Take the driver and pull it down across your shoulders. Get into your golf posture. Start the backswing move and stop when you feel you cannot go any further without straining. Take in a deep breath. Breath out. Turn the shoulders slightly more. Do one more breath and a slightly bigger turn. Come back to your starting point. Do the other side the same way. Once you have loosened up, you can turn this into a dynamic warm-up by turning back and through at a much faster speed. Do not do this until you feel you have stretched the back fully.
Now place the club in the small of the back and gently turn back and increase the movement's speed as the muscles loosen up.
